Court School

Court School is designed to make the process of testifying in court easier for children. Court School helps children and teens understand their important “court job” of telling the truth. In Court School, children and teens will have an opportunity to practice being a witness and answering questions. The questions are not related to their actual case. Court School helps child witnesses become familiar with the actual courtroom process and environment. It teaches children about the people who will be in court and how telling the truth helps everyone in court do their job. Court School also will teach children and teens relaxation techniques and coping skills to help them deal with some of their anxiety and fear over going to court.

Court School is based on a specific curriculum largely based on the Philadelphia Court School model. To schedule Court School for your child, please contact your advocate.
